Found at:

An anthology of modern verse dating from the late 1800s to 1963
Due to publisher's request, the work of T S Eliot was omitted.

This copy originally belonged to Sue Burrough from Raleigh, North Carolina.
In the contents, a heart has been drawn in black biro around the 'Lewis' of 'C. Day Lewis'. Although it is unclear whether the heart was added by Burrough herself whether it was penned by a later owner of the book. Turning to P.450 where Day Lewis' poetry begins, there are no further inscriptions beside the poet's work.

A note had been tucked inside p.617 beside a Poem entitled 'To the Harbormaster' by Frank O'Hara. The poem begins:

I wanted to be sure to reach you;
though my ship was on the way it got caught
in some moorings. I am always tying up
And then deciding to depart.

The note reads:

How does beauty fit in?

Impossible word to define.

Keats "Truth is beauty,"
Beauty: "Interior decorating"

"fine awareness -
To go beyond the limits"
